ACTIVITIES
At Northside, we believe in creating a vibrant and nurturing environment where children can grow in their faith and understanding of God’s Word. Children are the church of today! Our Sunday School is a place of joy, learning, and community, offering a variety of engaging activities that cater to every child’s interests and needs.
Activities include:
- Games: Enjoy exciting and interactive games that teach teamwork, kindness, and the joy of fellowship.
- Crafts: Unleash creativity with fun and meaningful craft projects that reinforce biblical lessons.
- Storytelling: Experience the Bible come to life through captivating stories that inspire and educate.
- Bible Study: Dive deep into the Scriptures with age-appropriate Bible study sessions that build a strong foundation of faith.
We invite parents to send their children to Northside’s Sunday School, where they will be loved, encouraged, and equipped for life’s journey. Our dedicated team of teachers and volunteers is passionate about guiding young hearts and minds towards a deeper relationship with God.

We minister to at least 60 children every Sunday.
Children-centred Biblical teachings are given every week of the year, both in person and online.
Testimony
Serving in the Sunday School Ministry has helped me grow my faith, learn about the Bible and learn what it means to follow Jesus. It has given me a chance to meet new people, step out of my comfort zone and participate in the church’s mission. My goal is to make my life and the lives of others better, and above all, I want to be useful in the Kingdom of God. (Elias)
PASTOR/DEACON COMMENT
Sunday school is a vital ministry to the Northside community, and we appreciate our dedicated teachers and volunteers. We believe that children are the ones who will encourage their parents to come to church and this meets our goal of families coming together to worship and fellowship. Matt 19.14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Sylvia)
How To get involved
If you are interested in teaching God’s Word in children’s church, we would love to talk with you more. You can reach out to the Youth Office or speak to Elias, who is the superintendent, about how to get involved. We also offer two trainings every term, for you to learn more about imparting God’s Word in an appropriate manner. The team teaches children from ECD to Grade 7. There are other teams for Creche (children under 4) and Bible Class for those in Form 1 and 2.
