Library Ministry

MISSION STATEMENT

Facilitating weekly access to main library resources specially curated as either appropriate fiction or, more importantly, Christian books for learning and theological study aimed at spiritual growth and deepening faith in God through Christ

ACTIVITIES

Step into the Northside Library Ministry and discover a world of wisdom, faith, and inspiration waiting on the shelves! Whether you’re searching for guidance on a specific topic, looking for a new devotional, or simply eager to explore books that deepen your understanding of the Word, our library team is here to help.

Every Sunday after service, we issue books so you can continue growing throughout the week. Need recommendations? We’re happy to guide you toward the perfect read. We also ensure books are well-maintained, classified, and restocked so the library remains a rich resource for everyone. Plus, through fundraising and careful stewardship, we safeguard these treasures for future generations.

Come find your next great read—because a single book can spark a lifetime of transformation!

Testimonies

‘Serving in the Northside Community Library Ministry offers me, first, the opportunity to identify and read, from the substantial and diverse collection, books that have been spiritually self-enriching, and, more importantly, second, the privilege and favour to facilitate weekly access by congregants, to this rich Christian book resource that has been lovingly built over a long time’. (Chris)

I am an avid reader of any book, really. The church library opened me up to Christian fiction books, which I found quite fun and inspiring to read. They made me see the bible being applied in daily life and less of a mystery. My new favourite author, thanks to the Northside church library, is Karen Kingsbury. I didn’t even know her before I walked into our church library. (Cynthia)

Pastor/Deacon Comment

The library has vast books to read and grow your faith. If you need that time of quiet and peace, get a good book from our library. Do you have a hard time falling asleep? Visit our library, grab a book and read yourself to sleep. It’s all Christian material. Fiction, biographies, documentaries, devotions, study books for cell group or individual, Bible commentaries &, and children’s books. You will find it all there. The best books I have read have been from the church library.

If you are a hands-on person, why not join the small team that runs the library? There’s a lot that needs to be done, cataloguing, plastic covering, and arranging them in their shelves. Why not talk to the library team in the library every Sunday see how you can help them? You will be amazed at how much you can be of help.
