Caring Ministry
MISSION STATEMENT
Your listening ear in the heart of the community
ACTIVITIES
Imagine a hand reaching out, a listening ear in your time of need, a comforting presence in moments of joy and sorrow. That’s the heart of our Caring Ministry! We’re not just a group; we’re a lifeline, a community woven together by compassion. We bring warmth to homes with our visits, offer solace in hospital rooms, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you through bereavement. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or navigating a storm, our prayers lift you up. We’re here to listen, to support, and to remind you that you’re never alone.
If you need support
If you would like prayer or counselling, please do not hesitate to reach out to the church office or speak to one of the pastors. Email us: church.office@northside.co.zw
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40 verses 28-31
Ministry Head Comment
The Barnabas team, led by the church pastors began working with a core team to shape the ministry, following a shared vision. After brainstorming, the name “Barnabas,” inspired by the Biblical encourager, was chosen. Midyear, a training session took place with a small turnout, and the team has quietly carried out behind-the-scenes visits.
The Barnabas Ministry, also called the “After People,” supports the church family in challenging times, such as bereavement, illness, or retirement, by offering encouragement and companionship when others have moved on. In 2025, the ministry aims to grow, become an integral church resource, and recruit more team members. Please pray for God’s guidance and equipping of the team to uplift those in difficult situations.
