Dear Northside

Last Sunday I dealt with the issue in one of our Ndasunungurwa Savings Clubs. The process is co

ntinuing and we continue to ask everyone involved or not to act in a Godly way, each one of us bearing all the Fruit of the Spirit. In a way this is slowing down the launch of the New Year, but it must be dealt with… and it will be!

Last Sunday I ended the article with this paragraph which I think summarises our Purpose, Vision and Mission…
We will continue to focus on prayer, sharing and caring as we strive to know and glorify God by loving God, loving our community, telling the Good News and making followers of Jesus as we strive to be God’s Heart in the heart of our Community! To do this every single one of us, Northsiders, needs to know our unique SHAPE and what God is calling us to do in His church and in our world… and then just do it! I hope and pray that you will join us in this amazing journey God has ordained for us.

This week I want to talk about our ABCDs. There are 4 things we feel every Northsider should be doing, not because we need it but because we know this is good for you.

1. Actively involved in our Sunday services. This means regular attendance, but even more … getting involved in some ministry. When we gather together corporately on Sundays we should come to give, and as we give we will also receive. We do not want pew warmers.

2. Belong to a small group. As wonderful as it is to worship together on Sundays, it is in small groups that we build relationships and where real and deep growth takes place. We have 19 small groups and we hope you will make a conscious decision to join one of them this year. You won’t regret it!

3. Commit to being part of a ministry. Did you know that we have over 60 active ministries in the church? Some are part of our Sunday services, but many are not. What is your passion? What is God calling to do or be part of? Our job as a church is to equip you and then to support you as you follow Jesus.

4. Discipleship. Every one of us needs to be a disciple and every one of us needs to be a disciple. Is this happening in your life? And part of discipleship is Evangelism. Is your life a witness, are you able to tell someone what you believe and why?

If you would like to know more about this, watch out for the advert for our membership classes or simply contact the church office and ask for an appointment with me. I would love to get to know you and walk with you.
Welcome back to everyone who has been away. I hope and pray that you have had a good holiday and rest with family and friends. I pray we are all ready to face 2018! If there is anything we can do to help you or pray for you, please let me know.

God bless, Pastor Gary
